The Area

Literally translated as 'warm coast', this relatively undiscovered area of Spain has the mildest climate in the country and offers visitors the chance to discover the real Spain. With two seas to choose from, the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor, the coastline offers impressive cliffs, wonderful beaches, lively harbours and secluded coves. Huge plains, dramatic mountain ranges and national parks with lush forests are what define the interior landscape giving visitors the chance to relax and enjoy nature or participate in the many activities on offer.

El Valle is in a superb location, nestled at the foot of the Carrascoy mountains 10 kilometers from the city of Murcia but still only a 20 minute drive away from the beautiful beaches of the Mar Menor. With miles of sandy beaches the Mar Menor is an inland sea which means the water is usually 5 degrees warmer than the Med, has no currents and no sharp drops making it perfect for children, plus as there is so much of it, it is never packed. It is also very popular for its water sports, jet skis, waterskiing, diving etc.

El Valle Golf Resort is the ideal location for a holiday all year round. With its own micro climate, the Murcia region enjoys fantastic weather with over 310 days of sunshine.

Centuries of history and numerous civilizations provide the Murcia Region with a rich historical and cultural heritage, with highly representative buildings such as the Cathedral and the Casino in the capital Murcia, the Roman Theatre in Cartagena, and the medieval castles of Lorca and Mula. There are many places of interest to visit, places to shop and numerous blue flag beaches in the area offering a wide range of activities in which to participate.
